Travelling by bus

Travelling by bus

Travelling doesn’t have to be expensive always. Buses are not the fastest way of travelling, but it certainly is capable of saving money and can also make the trip interesting.

These are some good tips to make sure your journey with bus is comfortable.

Firstly you need to get to the Bus Station as early as possible. Seats are given on a first come first serve basis. Which means, if you come to the bus station right before the bus is going to depart, you will either not get into the bus or you might not get your desired seat. This can easily ruin your journey. Also cardboard packaging is not advisable to carry while travelling in bus, simply because the packaging might get damaged due to excessive shaking.

If you have a layover at a bigger bus station make sure you are back 5 minutes before the scheduled break. This will help you not to lose your favourite seat or even help to reach the destination in time.

It is highly frustrating to miss the bus and waiting for the next one can make it worse. However, there is another bus on its way. But in order to avoid such situations it is very important to give yourself some extra travel time, when you are travelling on a bus.

As a passenger you are allowed to bring your own food on board, this is also to avoid eating any junk food on the way. If you are a fan of greasy or fried food, then you will surely enjoy the bigger bus stations, where they also have in house restaurants. These restaurants serve basic food mostly out of the deep fry. However do not expect a lot out of most stops.

Travelling alone can make you insecure about your luggage and it’s not safe to leave it unattended at any time. You may not want to trust a stranger, but most travellers might be in the same situation like you are, so if you watch their luggage, they will also do the same for you. You can also make use of the stations lockers, in case you have a longer layover and if you want to explore the surroundings a bit.

VIDEO GAME REVIEW: BULLETSTORM

VIDEO GAME REVIEW: BULLETSTORM

Amidst the fears of gas oil shortage in the UK I ventured to the video games stoe and came across the new game Bulletstorm. Bulletstorm was released on February 22 in the United States and on February 25 in the United Kingdom. This video game falls into the first-person shooter genre and has been developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games. Electronic Arts is its publisher and Valve (Stream) and Microsoft (Games For Windows Marketplace) are its distributors. Adrian Chmielarz, Cliff Bleszinski and Tanya Jessen are the producers, while Adrian Chmielarz also designed the game. The sound composers are Michał Cielecki and Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz and the entire package was written by Rick Remender. It uses Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

This video game can be played either in single person or multiplayer modes. It has a long list of minimum computer requirements and a shorter list of recommended requirements in order to be able to enjoy this game – besides the basics of a broadband internet connection, DVD Rom Drive, a mouse and a keyboard.

In a nutshell, Bulletstorm has a futuristic setting in the 26th century on a planet called Stygia, complete with meat-eating greenery, mutant tribesmen, huge monsters and assorted criminals. The main players in the game are the baddies Grayson Hunt, a space pirate and his sidekick Ishi Sato who do battle with the goodies, General Sarrano and his forces.

Each player has a vast arsenal of weapons at his disposal and Bulletstorm make good use of “skillshots”, which are various maniacal ways of disposing of one’s enemies in return for points – the higher the value, the more weapons are released and the better the upgrade. The armoury has virtually unlimited tools of destruction, also used in creative ways.

To date reception has been positive and Bulletstorm has received very high ratings.
